Privacy Policy

01Who We Are
Brutal Systems (“Brutal Systems,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) builds AI systems for real problems. We operate this website to describe what we are building and to let people reach us.
Questions about this policy? Email hello@brutalsystems.com.
02Information We Collect
Nothing you type
This site has no forms, no accounts, no logins, and no search box. There is nothing here for you to
fill in, so we collect nothing you type. The only way to contact us from this site is a plain
mailto: link that opens your own email client.
Information collected automatically
Like every web server, ours records a log entry for each request. Those entries contain:
- IP address — used to serve the page, to understand general geographic region, and to identify abuse
- Request details — the URL requested, the date and time, the response status, and the number of bytes sent
- Browser and device — the user-agent string your browser sends, and the referring URL if there is one
These log entries are forwarded to a central logging system that we operate and control, where they are used for monitoring, troubleshooting, and abuse detection. They are operational records, not a profile of you, and we do not join them to any other source of information about you.
Email correspondence
If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to send — your name, email address, company, and the contents of your message — along with any notes we take in following up.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect payment card information through this website. We do not operate accounts on this website. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
03Cookies and Tracking Technologies
This website sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording, no A/B testing, and no cross-site tracking of any kind. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to, and no opt-out because there is nothing to opt out of.
If that changes, we will say so here and update the date at the top of this page before the change takes effect.
04Third Parties That See Your Request
We keep the list short, but serving a website is never entirely first-party. When you load a page here:
-
Google Fonts — our pages load typefaces from
fonts.googleapis.comandfonts.gstatic.com. Your browser requests those files directly from Google, which necessarily receives your IP address and user-agent string. That exchange is governed by Google’s privacy policy, not this one. Google states that it does not use Google Fonts requests to create profiles for advertising. - Hosting and infrastructure — this site runs on infrastructure operated by Amazon Web Services. AWS processes traffic on our behalf under its own security and privacy terms.
- Email — messages you send to us are handled by our email provider in the ordinary course of delivering mail.
These providers are bound by contract or by their own published terms to protect the data they handle and to use it only to provide their service.
05How We Use Your Information
We use the limited information described above to:
- Respond to your inquiries and send follow-up communications related to them
- Operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website
- Protect against fraud, spam, scraping, and abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not use it to train models.
06How We Share Your Information
We may share information with:
- Service providers — the hosting and email providers described in Section 4, contractually required to protect your data and use it only to provide services to us
- Professional advisors — attorneys, accountants, or insurers when legally necessary
- Law enforcement or regulators — when required by law or to protect our legal rights
- Successor entities — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets
We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
07Data Retention
Server logs are retained only for as long as they are operationally useful — a short window measured in weeks, not years — and are then discarded automatically, except where a specific entry is preserved to investigate an ongoing security or abuse issue.
Email correspondence is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law — generally no longer than 3 years for inactive inquiries. If you become a customer, your information may be retained longer as part of our business records.
08Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including:
- The right to know what personal information we hold about you
- The right to correct inaccurate information
- The right to request deletion of your information
- The right to opt out of certain uses of your information
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@brutalsystems.com. We will respond within 30 days. In practice, if you have only visited this site and never emailed us, we almost certainly hold nothing that identifies you beyond an expiring server log entry.
California residents (CCPA): You have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To submit a verifiable consumer request, contact us at the email above.
EU/UK residents (GDPR): If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, our legal basis for processing your information is our legitimate interest in operating and securing this website and in responding to business inquiries you initiate. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
09Data Security
This site is served over HTTPS, and we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10Third-Party Links
This website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.
11Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
